Welcome! I’m Steven Gutierrez, though many people know me as Archie. This is my personal website where you can explore a collection of my artwork, including my journey as a tattoo artist, painter, and designer.
A bit about my background—I’ve been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. I picked up a pencil as soon as I could hold one and haven’t stopped creating since. Alongside my love for art, technology also caught my attention, leading me to attend an alternative TECH High School. There, I not only thrived in two art programs—Multimedia Design and Graphic Design—but also took the nursing program. This diverse education gave me a unique blend of creative and technical skills that I’ve carried with me into my career.
After high school, I had the opportunity to collaborate with various businesses, including designing the Boulder County Family Week logo for the Kiwanis Club of Boulder. I also had the privilege of working with notable clients such as the United States Navy and the dance program at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where I designed for their prominent college programs. These opportunities gave me invaluable real-world experience and helped solidify my path forward in the art world.
I also found my passion in the tattoo industry shortly after graduating. My tattoo style is a blend of photo-realistic, neotraditional, and painterly elements, with a focus on fine detail and vibrant color. Even when working with black and gray, I make sure to keep the designs highly detailed. Over time, my love for tattooing grew, influencing my broader artwork and pushing me to explore new techniques and styles.
Throughout my tattoo career, I worked at various shops, learning from apprenticeships and honing my skills. I eventually found my home at Blessed in Ink, where I now create custom tattoos and art that reflect my passion for the craft. The tattoo community has inspired me to continue growing, and I’m excited to take on larger, more artistic projects as my clientele demands more intricate and bold designs.
In addition to tattoos, I continue to work on custom paintings, offering both 3D sculptures and traditional art commissions. I’ve become more connected with my heritage over the years, which has inspired me to use more color in my art. My goal in the next few years is to host my own art show, sell some of my large paintings, and continue to build my reputation as a tattoo artist with a focus on creativity and artistic expression.
Thanks for visiting, and I’m excited to share my art with you! Feel free to explore, book a session, or get in touch about any projects you have in mind.
